IFA is a moving sculpture performance that will address issues of violence, grief, forgiveness and celebration. The project will explore formats of presenting the visual art object, developed to mimic practices of traditional indigenous African societies. Traditionally the visual object is constructed for use in ceremonial events involving music, dance, and other performance gestures. Subjectively these events commemorate aspects of social life that delineate the cultural values of the people.
