Zone B: Labspace Studio

A Piece of a City

Area covered: Coxwell to West Lynn

Curators: Annie Onyi Cheung , Laura Mendes & John Loerchner

Over the course of the festival, neighbours will encounter contemporary art projects daily and unexpectedly, through art installations and performances that move, evolve, interact, and live in the architecture and landscape along this stretch of the Danforth.

Our program encourages the community to witness and contribute to a creative exchange: whether that involves a quick game of hopscotch while crossing the street; taking a photo using one of many disposable cameras installed along our zone; or exchanging type-written notes with neighbours under a community message tree. A Piece of a City invites you to experience how some artists have been making the city their own, and we welcome you to be part of this inspired exchange.
