Danforth East Community Association’s mission is to promote a strong, liveable community and to empower residents of our neighbourhood through community involvement. DECA works to bring neighbours together and foster a sense of community with activities which include: greening and beautifying our streets and parks, improving the commercial strip on Danforth Avenue, taking action to reduce crime and planning community events.

LucSculpture School & Studios: LucSculpture School & Studios is an artist gallery, workshop and community gathering place operating out of a three floor building at Greenwood & Danforth. LucSculpture is run by Luc Bihan, an established artist & sculptor for over 25 years on several continents. He came to Canada from France 10 years ago to work as a Director of Animation at Nelvana and has since had many exhibitions and demonstrations and received considerable public recognition. Luc is committed to promoting the cultural health of this neighborhood.

Danforth Mosaic BIA: established in 2008, is one of the newest and longest BIA’s in Toronto. It covers an area of 2.9 km, stretching along Danforth from Westlake and Jones Avenues, and encompassing more than 400 shops and services. Our community is rich in diversity, which is the reason we proudly brand ourselves a “mosaic” of many cultures.
